I cried a bunch this morning, but I am so so so happy that Obama won. I'm upset about some of the other measures that were passed [ahem prop 8 ahem]. But I'm so proud to be a part of this moment, but in reality, I also hope that this is just a continued trend throughout my life and that although I'll be able to say I saw this happen, I hope it isn't the last time in my life I see it.

I thought I'd share this video, just to see something different. Not everything can be taken for face value and I can't back up what's said in this video. But I do think they're right in the fact that McCain and Co are trying to set up if Obama wins that it was all due to voter fraud.

David Cook actually won American Idol... I usually watch the show but actually really dislike the singers/winners. Cook is the first and only of those I've watched (since Season 3) that I actually believed in. no doubt Underwood surprised me, but I have never actually loved a singer on AI like I do Cook. I don't know if winning was a good thing for the kind of singer he is......but let's hope for another Carrie career! Not only did he win, but by so much... wow. Maybe America will get it right in November too... here's to hope!

I'm currently watching the democratic debate in New Hampshire from the other night. Something that really annoys me is that Bill Richardson has to say "I would ask the American people to sacrifice a little bit" in regards to energy consumption. Having lived in Italy now I realized that we are so ridiculous not only in our energy consumption, but also in our taking offense that he might ask us to make "sacrifices". People they should not be sacrifices, it's just what you do. Do you want to have lower bills? Do you want to be environmentally friendly? Do you really need your house to be 75 degrees all the time in the winter and 68 degrees in the summer? It's ridiculous. Do you need a car that takes up the entire lane and is mostly wasted space when you drive it alone to work every morning? Do you need to drive to the store that's just down the road? Bill Richardson's ideas on energy are great and it just saddens me that we as the American people actually need someone to be our daddy and hold our hand through better energy consumption.
